I am the TransAmerica Professor and Associate Professor of Business Ethics and Social Responsibility at Saint Mary's College of California. I was previously an assistant professor of business ethics and philosophy at St. Norbert College. I received my Ph.D. in philosophy from Stanford University, and before that, I studied and worked in the Hawkeye State.
My research and teaching focus on a wide range of questions in business ethics, moral and political philosophy, moral psychology, and the philosophy of action. I am currently working on a long-term project on the ideal of relational equality in the workplace, including the Working as Equals workshop and edited volume.
